Our Mission:
Chartered in 1926, the East Rochester Rotary Club is an active and proud member of the East Rochester Community and a funding vehicle for community service projects.
Since 1926 OUR MISSION is to increase our impact in our Community, State, Country and the World. We ask you to engage with us through your support.
For an annual subscription price, volunteers will place a large 3×5-foot American Flag on an 8-foot pole in front of your house on four major national holidays.
Join your neighbors in proudly displaying the American Flag in front of your home on major national holidays. You can sign up at any time throughout the year.

Our History
Your Rotary Club of East Rochester NY is part of Rotary International, the world’s first service club organization, which was founded in 1905. Today, Rotary has more than 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries worldwide. Rotary International is one of only two organizations (the other being the International Red Cross) that has a PERMANENT seat at the United Nations.
Rotary club members are volunteers, from all walks of life, who work locally, regionally and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace and eradicate polio under the motto “SERVICE ABOVE SELF.”
In their lives and businesses, members practice THE FOUR WAY TEST (OF THE THINGS WE THINK, SAY OR DO):
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
We apply these principles to our projects locally, regionally and internationally.
Throughout the year, many residents of the East Rochester Community quietly experience the impact that the East Rochester Rotary Club makes. Whether it’s through our annual Scholarship program, our environmental clean-up projects, or the annual Kiddie Parade, East Rochester has long enjoyed the activities of our local Rotary Club.
Did you know that our reach extends beyond East Rochester? As a part of the International Rotary organization, we have the opportunity to provide assistance throughout the world wherever a need exists.
